What is a Level III commissioned security officer?
It is the Texas license for armed security officers. A commissioned officer is licensed through the Texas Department of Public Safety to carry a firearm while on duty.
Do I need armed or unarmed security?
It depends on the site and on what your contract or event requires. Many properties use unarmed officers; armed officers fit posts where commissioned officers are required. You can ask the office to advise you.
Can you provide armed security for an event?
Yes. We staff event hours on request, with commissioned officers when you require armed security.
Is TCDP licensed to provide armed security?
TCDP holds Texas DPS Private Security Bureau license C20143, and our armed officers hold Level III commissions.
What will I receive after each shift?
A daily activity report, plus incident reports and photo reports.
